The Point-to-Point feature allows you to measure distances between any two given points. All the measurements you take are recorded in your Measurements Card tool. We'll cover the following:

Create Point-to-Point measurements

  • Click on the Measurements icon (Measurements Card will appear)

  • Click on the Point-to-Point icon to activate (orange) the feature
โ€‹Click on it again to deactivate it (grey)

  • Click on the model geometry to start locating points in the model

  • The measurement point is:
    - Red when you hover in space
    - Grey when you hover over model geometry
    - Green when you snap onto a surface edge

  • The measurement line is fixed with a measurement banner

  • New length measurements appear in the Measurements card with the relevant distance as per model or federation units. The selected total instantly updates based on the added or removed length.

Change Length Name

  • In the Measurements card, hover over the length name and click on the pen icon

  • Rename the length in the text editor and click on the Save icon

  • Click on the X button if you wish to cancel the renaming operation

Change Length Colour

  • By default, all lengths measurements have a dark blue colour

  • Click on the paint drop-down next to the length you wish to recolour

  • Choose a colour from the palette or enter a HEX colour code

  • Click on the green Save button
โ€‹A new colour will apply to the measurement in the model

Remove Lengths

  • Click on the X icon next to each point-to-point length measurement to individually delete it from the Measurements card

  • Or click on small X in the measurements banner to delete the length directly in the model

Expand/Collapse Lengths list

  • Click on the arrow icon button to expand and collapse the list of Point-to-Point lengths created. This option is particularly useful when dealing with a large list of measurements
